With the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Music Director Eugene Migliaro Corporon and the Lone Star Wind Orchestra (LSWO) embrace the Force and other films scored by legendary composer John Williams.
On Sunday, January 28, 2018 at 2:30pm, the LSWO performs music from films including Star Wars, E.T., Indiana Jones, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Hook, Superman, and Schindler’s List. The concert at the Eisemann Center in Richardson will also feature film clips projected above the wind orchestra. It will be an experience one should not miss.
The Lone Star Wind Orchestra will welcome to the stage violinist Julia Bushkova in a moving performance of the theme from Schindler’s List. Julia Bushkova is Professor of Violin at the University of North Texas in Denton. Bushkova has appeared as a soloist with numerous orchestras and in recital throughout the United States, in her native Russia, as well as Germany, Italy, Canada, United Kingdom, Poland, South Africa, Mexico, Chile, and Venezuela. She has been a featured performer on numerous public and commercial radio and TV stations as well as nationwide on NPR’s Performance Today.
