Varadarājam Upāsmahē // Bank of America Theatre

Excitement is in the air! Get ready to be part of something extraordinary at Flute 'n Feather Arts Foundation's fundraising event. It's an event like no other, and we want you to be there!

Captivating hearts from a tender age, Harinie’s journey in dance is nothing short of a tapasya—a lifelong pursuit of grace, discipline, and devotion. For her, dance is not merely an art form, but an inseparable part of her being. Today, she stands as an artist of national and international acclaim, seamlessly blending technical finesse with a deep-rooted reverence for tradition. Her every movement reflects a soul steeped in bhakti and artistry.

Our thematic presentation transports us to Kanchipuram, the sacred town of temples in Tamil Nadu. Among its many deities, one presides with grandeur—Lord Varadaraja, the benevolent bestower of infinite boons.

One of South India's grandest temple festivals, the Brahmotsavam of the Varadarajaswamy Temple, celebrates this Lord with magnificent devotion. Over ten divine days, the Lord graces different vahanas (celestial mounts) and takes to the streets in majestic procession, amidst a sea of joyous devotees.

A highlight of this celebration is the awe-inspiring Garuda Seva, where the Lord is enthroned upon Garuda, His divine eagle mount. The unique ritual of ‘Kulukkal’, in which the deity is rhythmically swayed, fills the atmosphere with heightened energy and fervent devotion.

"Varadarājam Upāsmahē"—a solo thematic production by Vid. Harinie Jeevitha—celebrates the grandeur of this festival and invokes the timeless glory of the Lord through narratives such as Gajendra Moksham. Through movement, expression, and rhythm, this presentation invites us all to witness and partake in the divine celebration.

Every registration to this event will bring us closer to achieving our mission. Together, we can create a brighter, more compassionate world for all.
