WOMEN FULLY CLOTHED: A Theatrical Evening of Comedy
Presented by the ViewPoint Bank Theatre Comedy Series, WOMEN FULLY CLOTHED: A THEATRICAL EVENING OF COMEDY playing for six performances Feb. 8-12, 2012, is Robin Duke, (Saturday Night Live, SCTV), Jayne Eastwood, (My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Hairspray), Kathryn Greenwood, (Whose Line Is It Anyway? Wind at My Back), and Teresa Pavlinek, (The Jane Show, History Bites), a unique collaboration of "the funniest women in Canada" (Eugene Levy). Spending an evening with them is like treating yourself to a night out with good friends who make you laugh 'til you cry. Whether exploring mother/daughter relationships, cross-border shopping, board room banter or craft shows, these women charm their audiences with uproarious sketches and razor-sharp songs, all masterfully crafted with heart and soul. CHRIS BRUBECK'S TRIPLE PLAY
Presented in partnership with the UT Dallas School of Arts & Humanities on Fri., Feb. 17, 2012 at 8:00 pm, CHRIS BRUBECK'S TRIPLE PLAY is the name given to three outstanding and versatile musicians, Peter Madcat Ruth (on harmonica, guitar, jaw harp, percussion and vocals), Joel Brown (folk and classical acoustic guitar and vocals) and Chris Brubeck (electric bass, bass trombone, piano and vocals). Collectively, they bring virtuosity and joy to the folk, blues, jazz and classical music they perform. Residency activities will take place at UT Dallas and various locations in the community.. |
