Five Day Run Begins with November 4 Opening at Charles W. Eisemann Center

RICHARDSON, TX – Is there a right guy/gal out there searching for the right gal/guy? This eternal quest for true love is asked and answered in the critically acclaimed Off-Broadway hit MAYBE BABY, IT’S YOU which begins a five day engagement at the Charles W. Eisemann Center in the Eisemann Center Theatre, 2351 Performance Drive in Richardson, Texas in the Galatyn Patk Urban Center. Performances are Tuesday November 4 at 8:00 PM; Thursday, November 6 at 8:00 PM; Friday, November 7 at 8:00 PM and Saturday, November 8 at 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Ticket Office hours are Monday-Saturday 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM and one hour prior to performances. 

MAYBE BABY, IT’S YOU is an edgy look at relationships for the new millennium. Fresh, outrageous, sharp and witty, it features eleven vignettes about couples’ search for a mate. From flirtatious nerds in high school to a blind date with Medea to a wife serenading her husband in a crowded restaurant to divorced grandparents who meet at their grandson’s soccer game and realize their feelings still run deep, MAYBE BABY, IT’S YOU is poignant, often hilarious, and always entertaining. Interspersed throughout the performances are real-life recordings gathered from man-on-the-street style interviews in Central Park. Even as they poke holes in happily-ever-after fantasies, these sketches pull strings that remind us how romantic and idealistic we all are, how we yearn to find true love that will last forever. 

MAYBE BABY, IT’S YOU is the creation of Shari Simpson and Charlie Shanian, veterans of Gotham City Improv who will be appearing in the Eisemann Center run of the play. The show ran to rave reviews at Currican Theatre and the SoHo Playhouse in New York City before moving to Off-Broadway’s Theatre at St. Luke’s in Times Square.
