IMPRESSIONISM TO MINIMALISM:
RICHARDSON ARTIST DURWOOD PICKLE TO BE FEATURED IN
EISEMANN CENTER’S GREEN MEZZANINE-GALLERY DECEMBER 2-28, 2003
RICHARDSON, TX – A native Texan, Durwood Pickle graduated from Texas A&M
University with a degree in architecture and pursued a successful career
through his firm, Pickle Architects, Inc. in Dallas, Texas. He is the
recipient of several prestigious architectural design awards. After 35
years as an architect, Mr. Pickle retired and turned his hobby of
painting into a full time second career.
Over the years, Mr. Pickle has traveled extensively to major art museums
all over the world, gathering knowledge and pursuing his passion for
painting. The recipient of a number of Dallas Associated Creative
Artists (ACA) awards, Mr. Pickle primarily exhibits in Dallas. This
exhibit, “Impressionism to Minimalism” explores Mr. Pickle’s progression
from the impressionistic style to the minimalist style in 30 plus oil
and acrylic paintings.
Gallery hours are 10:00 am – 6:00 pm Monday through Saturday and during
all public events. The Charles W. Eisemann Center is located at 2351
Performance Drive, Richardson, Texas 75082 in the Galatyn Park Urban
